Accreditation of Programs
The Certificate of Registration awarded to a post-secondary institution will identify the programs the institution is authorized to deliver. If an institution wishes to deliver a program not listed on the certificate of registration, they must complete an application for the new proposed program.
Private Vocational Training
To be issued a Certificate of Registration under the Private Vocational Training (PVT) regulations, the vocational program must be training for an occupation identified in the National Occupation Classification. This includes a System Coordination Review Application, followed by a Private Training Institution and Private Vocational Training Application form.
Each vocational training program an institution wants to offer must have a separate application. A PTI institution offering one program at multiple locations must submit a PVT application for each location. Applications for new PVT programs will be posted online for 15 business days to allow for review by the general public, post-secondary institutions, professional associations, and regulatory bodies.
Review the Private Vocational Training standards here for more information.

A part of the System Coordination review involves applications to grant non-degrees to be posted online for 15 business days to allow for review by the general public, post-secondary institutions, professional associations, and regulatory bodies. This review is phase one of the process.
Phase two involves a Quality Assurance Review. For Non-Degree Granting Programs, the application is reviewed by the Quality Assurance Review Advisory Committee (QARAC), a review committee that is internal to the GNWT.
