The NWT education system needs to be accountable for the large investment made into it every year. For instance, there currently is a lack of any systemic goal setting and of evidence of sustained improvement in student achievement.. We need to develop clear objectives for the system, ways to monitor progress, and ways to know when we have reached those goals to make sure that spending and program delivery are responsible, practical, and appropriate.
