NWT JK-12 School Handbook
The Northwest Territories (NWT) Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (JK-12) School handbook is for the use of all school staff in planning for the delivery of school programs. It is only available in English. It is intended to serve the following purposes:
- to encourage and support innovation and excellence in the delivery of Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 education in NWT classrooms;
- to communicate procedures for organizing and operating schools to meet the needs of students;
- to communicate information regarding evaluation of student achievement, including the Alberta Achievement Tests and Grade 12 Diploma Examinations; and
- to identify graduation requirements specified by ECE.
Policies, procedures and organizational information required to operate NWT JK-12 schools are included in this handbook.
