The Territorial-based Support Team (TBST) is a multidisciplinary group of professionals, including health, social services and specialized educators, who support School-based Support Teams with complex situations. The TBST also supports education body staff to work with students with complex needs through consultations (student, classroom, or team focused), professional development, in-services, training, and developing protocols and procedures. 

School-based Support Teams can also make referrals to the TBST for support outside the TBST’s capacity. The TBST will do their best to support the referral within the capacity of their team, other GNWT or local services, and/or explore other options to outsource the support as and when needed.
