Special needs rates
Licensed family day homes can access a special needs rate to offset costs for children who require enhanced or individual assistance to participate in early learning safely and fully. Allergy or dietary restrictions will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. This rate is provided for the duration of the time that the child is enrolled in your program. If the child leaves, you will no longer receive the special needs rate for that child.
Out-of-school care
Licensed family day homes that provide out-of-school care or drop-in care for children who are enrolled in school (3 years 8 months to 11 years of age) receive funding based on the number of school-aged children enrolled in the program.
