What you need to know about cannabis & school
Restricting youth access to cannabis and protecting young people from promotion or enticements to use cannabis is a priority for the GNWT.
The Departments of Health and Social Services and Education, Culture and Employment have been working together to develop a public awareness campaign for students. Webinars, seminars, Facebook Live events and printed information have taken place during the past few months in anticipation of the legalization of cannabis.
Now that cannabis is legal the awareness campaign will continue to provide additional, and ongoing, information to young people.
These information sheets for students, parents and school staff, outline the rules and risks around cannabis and school.
