This is big news: you don’t have to be born and raised in the Northwest Territories to get the Northern Bonus! New grads from across Canada who choose to move to the NWT to begin their careers may qualify.

The Northern Bonus can be applied to student loans from any province or territory in Canada. It’s available to eligible residents who live in the NWT for 12 consecutive months. There is a lifetime maximum of $10,000 for this initiative.
