Apply for Labour Market Recovery Program funding

Given the unique and significant impact of COVID-19 on the Northwest Territories economy and labour market, the Department of Education, Culture and Employment (ECE) has created a streamlined labour market recovery program to support broad sectors of our economy. This time-limited funding is now available to support labour market recovery.

Labour Market Recovery Wage Subsidy

The Labour Market Recovery Wage Subsidy is intended to support employers in recovering from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, by providing a wage subsidy to support the hiring and retention of staff. The objective of the Labour Market Recovery Wage Subsidy is to enable employers impacted by COVID-19 to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and support employers getting back into operations. The subsidy is available immediately and is retroactive from April 1, 2020.
