Funding for emerging to mid-career artists, craftspeople, small groups
Small Arts Project Grant
- Up to $5,000 per intake
- Covers costs for small-scale arts projects (e.g., traditional apparel, paintings) such as art supplies (e.g., beads, thread, furs, etc.), education, training, and artistic development
- Deadlines: February 28 and August 31
Funding for mid-career to established artists and craftspeople
Medium Arts Project Grants
- Up to $10,000 per intake
- Covers costs for the completion and exhibition of medium-scale art projects and events (e.g., collection of work such as paintings, exhibition support), education, training, and artistic development
- Deadlines: February 28 and August 31
Funding for arts organizations
Medium Arts Project Grants
- Up to $10,000 per intake
- Covers costs related to supporting artists and grassroot organizations with the creation and exhibition of medium-scale art projects, coordinating arts events, hosting education opportunities for artists such as workshops, training, mentorship, etc., and providing artistic development opportunities such as residencies to artists, etc.
- This funding is for arts organizations not already receiving funding from either the Large Arts Project Fund or Arts Operating Fund
- Deadlines: February 28 and August 31
Large Arts Project Fund
- Up to $100,000 per year
- Covers costs related to the execution of large-scale arts projects and events (e.g., festivals) such as paying coordinators, northern artists fees, venue and equipment rentals, material and supplies costs
- Deadline: January 31
Arts Operating Fund
- Up to $200,000 per year
- Supports arts organizations with fixed costs for staffing, program administration, costs related to operating galleries, makerspaces, arts-related infrastructure (e.g., art spaces)
- Deadline: January 31
Funding for non-arts organizations that support the arts
Medium Arts Project Grants
- Up to $10,000 per intake
- Covers costs related to the completion and exhibition of medium-scale art projects and events, such as small arts festivals in communities, hosting community arts events such as workshops and training
- Deadlines: February 28 and August 31
