Arts Organization Incubator Program
Overview
The Arts Organization Incubator Program is a two-year initiative created through a partnership between the Government of the Northwest Territories and Canada Council of the Arts. It supports arts organizations with training, funding and activities to help them grow and succeed. The program focuses on areas such as sustainability, fundraising and community engagement, aiming to provide foundational tools and support in strategic planning, board governance, project management and more.
The program takes a holistic approach, recognizing that the success of arts organizations is crucial to providing more opportunities for artists, increasing arts awareness and growing audiences.
Available Funding
This program has budget of $400,000 over two-years. Each enroled arts organization may receive up to $20,000 in funding.
Deadline
There is no application intake for this program; however, arts organizations that are selected to participate must accept their invitation to enroll within 30 days.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this program, arts organizations must be based in the NWT and meet the following criteria:
- They must be registered and in good standing under the NWT Societies Act.
- They must have a mandate to support and develop the arts and creative sector, northern artists, and craftspeople, and to present arts activities for northern residents.
- They must provide arts education, creation and exhibition opportunities in the NWT.
- They must have been selected to participate in the program.
