Events at the Library!

March Events

We're celebrating women here at the NWT Centennial Library for the month
of March.

Start Your Month off Right in March is 'A Camping we will Go!'. Are you
ready for an adventure?
March 3rd at 2pm at the Hay River Library. There will be songs, stories
and activities for children ages 3-6 who are accompanied by a parent.
Other family members are welcome too!.

Art in the library:Women's Art show the opening will be Wednesday, March
7th, 7pm. Come out to enjoy local artisans!

International Women's Day at the NWT Centennial Library, Thursday March
8th at 7pm. International Women's Day will feature Northern Women's
Stories Hosted by the Vagina Monologue's, Stephanie Yuill. Come out to
hear their stories and share your own. Granddaughters of the Drum will
offer the opening prayer.

The Hay River Library and Riverview Cineplex bring, The Lord of the
Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. Doors open at 3:30 and the movie
begins on Saturday, March 10th at 4pm sharp! Admission is $2.

Arm Chair Traveler goes to Argentina with Emma Harper on Tuesday, March
13th at 7pm. Come out to hear her stories and see her photos!

Birth Stories at the Hay River Library on Wednesday, March 21st at 7pm.
Come and share your birth stories with other women in Hay River. Ann
Boden and Nancy Makepeace will host our evening.

The Hay Rive Nature Club will go on a Nature Walk with Bea Lepine, Sunny
Ashcroft and Albert Bourque. Meet at the Hay River Library on Sunday,
March 25th at 2pm so we can depart for the trail. Bring your cameras and
your binoculars. Our leaders will help identify local plants, tracks and
wildlife . Transportation must be supplied.

Hay River NWT Centennial Library will have our Music Night in March on
March 30th at 7pm. This month's theme an evening dedicated to Women and
Song (men can play too!) Come and Play a song from your favorite Female
Musician or just come and listen!

Well, March came in like a lamb. Let's hope it goes out like one!
