Objective:
The student will respect the rabbit as being a gift from
the Creator. It was the rabbit that gave the gift of
dance to the Dene. The student will appreciate the
rabbit for being an important source of food when large
game could not be found. The student will obtain the
skills required to snare and prepare rabbit for its many
uses. People who go on the land bring fixings for rabbit
snaring as a matter of course (like bringing matches).
This is survival that children can learn at a very early
age because of the safeness of the equipment. |
