The grade 4 curriculum focuses on the origins, peoples, land and stories of the NWT. This course was implemented in 2007. A series of 5 kits of hands-on materials support the teaching of the course in NWT classrooms. The electronic versions of these kits are found below, as is a resource on the impact of residential schools which is intended to introduce this topic in an age-appropriate way.

A History of Residential Schools in the Northwest Territories (Grade 4)

This teaching resource provides and age-appropriate introduction to the history and impact of residential schools in the NWT.
