Resource Development and ECE

Working with other GNWT departments, the College and Career Development Division researches and implements ways to maximize northern training and employment opportunities related to resource development activities in the Northwest Territories. 

Along with the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre, the Department of Education, Culture and Employment plays an active role in minimizing any archaeological impacts that development activities may lead to.  Including the preservation of language and culture.

With Resources, Wildlife and Economic Development leading the way, the Department works jointly to research, negotiate, monitor and report on Socio-Economic Agreements for many resource development projects.
